So many folks are saying this years game lived up to all the hype… I for one couldn’t disagree more. While I’m not a mega fan when it comes to football, I’d like to think I know a great game from a boring one. And for the most part, yesterdays game put me to sleep.
Sure, the last 5 minutes were great. It had everything you could ask for! The Patriots moved ahead with just 2 minutes left on the clock, and the Seahawks nearly came back for a win… but by now you’ve certainly heard about the worst call in the history of the game…. I won’t comment on that, but I will comment on what is, by far, the best reaction to that call you could ask to capture on live TV. Thank you Richard Sherman — you made my night.

What about the commercials!? Horrible. Nationwide ran a commercial featuring the accidental death of a child. Nissian ran a commercial that confused audiences by playing “Cats in the cradle” in the background, and Nick Offerman (Ron Swanson from Parks & Rec) touted NASCAR in song… which was mildly disturbing. All in all, I think the commercials this year were rather awful. Which is a major disappointment, as it’s something most of us normally look forward to.
Although disappointing, at least football season is over! NHRA drag racing starts up Feburary 8th at Pomona Raceway!!
